Prominent thyroid secondary to diffuse Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Right side is considerably larger than her left side. Patient very concerned about outward appearance but also the hard nature of her gland. Although she has no prominent single nodule, the thyroid gland is considerably enlarged secondary to this prolonged inflammatory process. Her right thyroid lobe measures 40 ml.

After a benign pathology is confirmed, she underwent successful treatment with no thermal CellFx ablation under ultrasound guidance with 74 cycles of energy.

She notes significant improvement in size but also texture in her gland. It is much softer and now measures 24 ml in size. Not only is the right lobe smaller, it is also morepliable, and thus less symptomatic. The thyroid gland is more symmetric now. She is having less issues with swallowing and clearing of her throat.
