This study shows that RFA can be considered a safe approach to the treatment of benign thyroid nodules.
Complication rates are low, and RFA is effective in decreasing the volume of the nodule, especially smaller
nodules.

Longer follow-up after radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of benign thyroid nodules is needed to understand regrowth and other causes of delayed surgery and long-term complications.
